They run pretty well for a large office, and I've had mostly good experiences. But mostly we really like Dr. Adams. He clearly has so much knowledge and experience but is never condescending. He listens well and is patient with us and the kids. I know I have brought my kids to him with concerns that probably sounded crazy and ridiculous, but he never made me feel badly about them, he would address every concern I had and give them all the attention they needed. He's just a really great doctor.

You might want to read this before making an appointment. We went to a couple different pediatricians here and overall had a negative experience. I rarely ever write a negative review, unless it is merited. And this one was. The first thing worth mentioning is that in the end of our awful experience with their staff over several months, I called 3 times (weeks apart) to get a hold of their office manager and left voicemails and never heard back from anyone. Not even the receptionist wanted to hear it, she just transferred me to the manager. UPDATE: the office manager finally called me back after they sent an automated text to schedule a routine appt and I texted back that we would not be returning. She said they got a new phone system. So I guess that is just really unfortunate timing for them. Now going back to the beginning, our first couple appointments were decent. It was right after our son was born. The 24 hour nurse hotline was the most useful part of their business and came in handy 2 times, so shout out to the nurses that run that. They gave us a peace of mind in the middle of the night and that was great. Honestly one of the only things that pushed me to rate 2 stars instead of 1. But in our appointments they were always running abysmally late, especially with Mitchell Adams. The beginning of the end was when we went in for one appointment with him and waited literally 65 minutes in the room, and that was AFTER waiting 15 minutes in the lobby despite arriving on time. And then a MA came in and said he was still running behind and would be a while, so we just....went home. He called the next day and apologized profusely, so we rescheduled. Then he was 45 minutes late that time. My wife could only go that time and she said he treated her very differently vs when I went with her. He pushed her to get our son a vaccine right then and there and guilt tripped her for wanting to think about it, seeing as it wasn't one she had heard of. I went with her for the next appointment and he was pushy then too, though not as bad according to my wife. THIS IS THE WORST PART: We get a call a whole week after that last appt from the County Health Department telling us that because we were at our appt at a certain time, we were possibly exposed to measles and had to quarantine for 21 days! This was on Dec 2nd so that really ruined our Christmas season. Luckily we never came down with anything. But we never got even 1 phone call from UVP saying anything like "Hey we are so sorry this happened! Please let us know what we can do to help, here is what you do if symptoms come on..." We got nothing. Except a very sterile, freaky, short phone call from the county that was blunt and literally made my wife cry. Then we had to call our families to break the news to them that we had to cancel all our plans. We were also terrified every single day thinking any cough or eczema spot was measles starting up with our baby. At no point did we have our doctor's office reach out to reassure us or apologize for this careless exposure. Just 3 weeks of staying inside and googling and freaking ourselves out every day leading up to Christmas. In fact the only time we heard from this office was when they reached out to schedule an appointment to give our son that vaccine we said we weren't sure about! And I told the receptionist a little about what we were experiencing and she interrupted me right away and transferred me to the office manager, who I left a voicemail with. And then I called a week later to leave her another voicemail, and tried again in January and only finally heard back at the end of February. The call with the manager, Chanelle, went well. I am not one to burn bridges easily or be mean so I tried to be kind and I laid it all out and offered feedback. She was nice and offered two suggestions of doctors to try meeting with, should we ever return. I'll be honest, it's not likely that we will, but again I hate burning bridges, so I wrote the names down and parted ways peacefully. I would try somewhere else first if I were you.

Dr Clayton is amazing-I’m so grateful for Dr’s willing to work late! Brought my sick teenager in at 7:20pm & she gave great, well researched advice & tips to keep immune systems strong (even gave proven gut bacteria names that help kids immune systems stay strong in winter) Ty for all the other advice to try & find underlying answers to recurring issues!

I love this office! I have a 3 month old and have become quite the paranoid mother, despite my best efforts. They are always so kind, never making me feel silly for calling with questions. They are invested in my child and do whatever they can to help her and me. Reassuring me that I'm doing a good job, that I can ask any question etc. They always small at my daughter try to get her to smile and laugh. Everyone is so full of compassion and understanding.

Dr. McCoy is the best!! He has been so great- from our baby’s birth into toddlerhood and we truly look forward to our appointments with him! He is thorough with every question you might have and is always very encouraging and uplifting of us as parents. I would recommend him to anyone! We’ve also received great care from other doctors at after hours care. It’s great to feel that my family is in good hands!
