We live in San Diego and almost never eat Mexican food outside of there—but El Chubasco absolutely holds its own. The food is excellent, the service is friendly, and the salsa bar is the real standout. It’s a kaleidoscope of flavor and color and honestly the salsa bar beats many places we’ve tried even back home in San Diego. We ordered the fajitas and it easily fed both of us. Compared to the other Mexican restaurants in Park City, this place isn’t even in the same league.

A friend recommended this little hidden gem, and I’m so glad they did! The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The salsa selection was amazing — so many tasty options to try with each bite. It’s one of those true hole-in-the-wall spots that makes you feel like you discovered something special. Perfect place to grab a casual lunch with friends — I’ll definitely be coming back!

  • Yummy dishes and great service. Two people can easily share one plate. We were stuffed. Also the free chips and salsa were great. They have a free salsa bar and they have great choices. It's hard to find good salsas and this is the place. They got 4 stars a couple of reasons. The black beans need a little work. Too simple for my liking. Also, I got the wrong order and the waiter was set on saying the ticket said otherwise. He then realized he got confused and apologized so I give him that. The other, we didn't get a receipt and remember the total being under $70 but ended up getting a statement charge of $80. Not sure what happened but we don't have a way to fix it without the receipt.

The salsa bar gives this place an instantly compelling reason to visit, but tucked amongst familiar salsa styles like pico de gallo and salsa de arbol, are novel or uncommon salsas, like serrano frito, that could make any fan of the cuisine a repeat customer. While the tacos could take multiple visits to work your way through, don't skip the carnitas fajitas with perfectly executed crispy and tender pork shoulder nestled in a pile of beautifully charred and fat-seasoned peppers and onions you will want a fork right into your mouth. In short, come hungry, leave happy!

  • The vibe is good, the food was really authentic and yummy, and the employees were really kind! Portions were big and there were a lot of self serve salsa options at the counter!!
