If you like having an HOA, this insurance company is for you! I was blatantly told lies regarding my coverage and insurance just so I wouldn't file a glass claim, that I pay additional for. I was told to remove Halloween decorations otherwise my policy would be canceled. I was accused of renting my house out as an airbnb. Probably due to the amount of cars parked around my neighborhood because there is a school 30 ft away, and Liberty Park a block away. I was told to provide proof that I wasn't renting my house out. I told them to provide me proof that I was renting my house out, and that all the cars in the driveway were under my policy and registered to the homeowner, with no other drivers. They seemed to drop it after this. My coverage was canceled because I had 3 glass claims in 3 years. Again, I pay additional for the glass coverage because I have 2 vehicles that are prone to chips/cracks. Find an agency that has people skills and atleast bare minimum customer service and who appreciate your business, because this place isn't it.

I have been trying for 9 months to fix the problems with my insurance policies that were caused by American Insurance, specifically agent Ann Colby. She gave me forms to transfer from a previous agency to her, and said the premiums would not change. Not only did they change but they went up 20%. She guaranteed she could get an umbrella policy for our homes, rentals, vehicles, which is a primary reason I changed to American. She never provided an umbrella option, and I do not believe she was going to be able to in the first place. I reported issues to the chief financial office who promised to review the problems, and there were no results. I filed multiple complains with Travelers regarding issues with American Insurance and requested they remove them from my policies. Apparently once this company (at least agent) gets your policy they just sit back and take their payments from the insurance company and do not return phone calls or messages. P.S. The excuse for not getting an umbrella policy was that I had been "living outside of the US for more than a year". We were serving a mission in Hawaii... last time I checked Hawaii had been a state of the US for ~50 years.

Jeff Hirst and his team take amazing care of our professional liability insurance and are always ready to help with any issues that come up. Kendall Nelson and his team take care of all of our employee health, life and disability insurance. They are proactive and responsive. All around good people.

This is a third party seller of insurance options. If you are not their client and you're just trying to get answers, they will not return your calls. Specifically Jeff Hope. He botched filling a claim the proper way and in a timely manner, and then had nothing but excuses for why it's not his fault. Find a more reputable agency.
